Match Report & Photos WWISC FC
v Peterborough Utd. Supporters On paper, the game against Peterborough looked to be another tough game, especially as several months previously they had beaten WWISC 7-1! The loss of several key players, including the ‘keeper and centre-backs, was also a concern before the game. However, once the game started, all concerns were brushed aside as WWISC dominated the game from start to finish and ran out 8-2 winners, playing some decent football along the way. Once again it was a
real team effort, but a special mention to Owen Wood who scored 4 times, Alex
Beavis who scored a hat-trick, and to Rob Hoing who rounded the scoring off with
a wonderful 30 yard strike to complete an accomplished performance as a stand-in
centre-back. A superb all-round team effort that got the result it deserved. Long may it continue. Last but not least, best wishes to Matt Shepherd for a speedy recovery, who suffered what looked to be a nasty ankle injury. It was confirmed to be a badly sprained ankle following a hospital check-up and X-ray. Click on image for larger view.
