WWISC FC v Watford Supporters

Venue: Holmer Farm Way Playing Fields
Date: 08/10/06

A tough start for the WWISC team as they played their first game of the season against a decent Watford side who had recently beaten Brentford by 10 goals to nil.

However, despite several new faces, WWISC played some attractive football and went into the half-time break with a 2-1 lead thanks to fine goals from Owen Wood and Chris Cooper.

Things got even better at the start of the second half when a Watford own goal put WWISC 3-1 up. However, WWISC could not hold out for the rest of the half and unfortunately went down 4-3 due to some bad luck at set pieces and referee decisions! (some very bad referee decisions!)

Despite the defeat, this was an excellent performance by the team all round, and bodes well for the rest of the season.
